Camel Hill Vineyards is located in the Santa Cruz mountain appellation. Camel Hill sits perched 800 feet above the Lexington Reservoir in Los Gatos. This region is famous in the cultivation of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes which love the cooler climate. At Camel Hill we are dedicated to handcrafting outstanding artisan wines and believe this rich tradition begins in the vineyard. Our estate wines include: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay. Our focus is on quality, not quantity. Our careful management of the process from vineyard to bottling produces the highest quality and vintage character year after year. All grapes are handpicked and sorted. Small-lot production assures minimal processing and gentle handling. The results are premier wines that capture the delicate nuances of flavor. Harvest usually commences in late September and continues through the month of October. This long growing season allows for maximum development of flavor in the grapes with lower sugar content and higher acidity than in most of California. |
